Animal Advocates of North Texas (AANT) was founded in 2008 by a group of animal lovers who came together to assist shelters and rescue groups. Aware that shelter budgets are often insufficient to cover animals' basic medical and emergency care in a timely manner, the group felt compelled to work together towards a solution.
Click on the Facebook logo at the foot of the page, like us and keep up to date with our news and latest adoptable pets.
AANT's intent and purpose is to prevent animal cruelty and neglect, reduce the euthanasia rate of healthy animals in shelters and develop a network to increase the placement of homeless and abandoned animals into permanent, loving homes.
Focus is placed on increasing public awareness of the situation facing homeless animals and providing vaccines and medication to sick animals.
Activities to date include actively volunteering at local shelters, organizing fundraising activities and hosting adoption events.
You can learn more about past events and some of the animals we have saved in our newsletter archives. We no longer create newsletters as FB is now our primary means of communication and is updated on a daily basis.
